ACCOMMODATION

Volunteers have two recommended choices of accommodation, either at the Volunteers Residence or at a homestay with a local Peruvian family. Both these types of accommodation are strongly recommended as they are safe, friendly and good value. Other externally arranged accommodation may be used, only with agreement from the director, as in the past this has lead to difficult situations including theft of possessions. If you are considering arranging your own accommodation please enquire with us first.

Volunteers Residence

The residence is located in a quiet neighbourhood, 25 minutes walking to the center of town and easily accessible by public transport. Bedrooms are shared and confortable . The Volunteers Residence has a equipped kitchen, a shared bathroom with hot water .

Family Homestay

Volunteers can also be placed with a Peruvian family, chosen according to the their needs and preferences. Our families are typical middle class Peruvians and enjoy opening their homes to foreigners. You will have opportunity to practice your conversation and comprehension skills with your family. In addition, you will observe and participate in everyday Peruvian life and culture. You will be provided with a bedroom, hot showers, laundry facilities and breakfast .
