Volunteering at the street children programs
We have our own classrooms in three locations in Huancayo, two classrooms in "Ladrillera" built by Mosoq Ayllu and our classroom in "Mercado"rented by us.
|
Market : Currently, Mosoq Ayllu volunteers work in the market, where groups of 10 to 15 kids, aged about 7 to 16, come to study when they are not working or attending classes. The childrens´ parents work in the market
and expect some amount of assistence from their children. The
pressures of work, school, and family are tangible for the kids.
Sometimes the students face precarious domestic situations and
depend on the support of the volunteers and our program. The kids
who attend theret are generally motivated and appreciate guidance
and sincerity. |

Ladrillera : In this community of brick manufacturing children go to school in the morning or in the afternoon. Some of them go to work with their parents one part of the day and then meet later with volunteers to do their homework. Mosoq Ayllu just has done one of our biggest aspiration which is to build a second classroom for these children with water, electricity and a room for doctors to examine children and parents. The community provided the property and Mosoq ayllu Provided the materials and the payment to the workers.. |
