Volunteering at orphanages with special needs kids

Many of the orphans have come from homes of domestic violence, many of them don't have any relatives. Poverty nowadays leaves many children abandoned. These orphanages in Peru provide orphans with daily meals, a bed and schooling but they also need love, time and attention.

Mosoq Ayllu is looking for volunteers to work with special needs children. Experience working in Special Education is preferred, but is in no way necessary. The need for individual attention is great, yet often times unavailable in the large orphanages in Peru. Volunteers will help in developing students communication, social and learning skills.

As a volunteer you will work at the orphanage from Monday to Friday, mornings or afternoons. At least a functional Spanish level is required for applying.

Minimum term of commitment is 1 month.
